I am attaching a photo for the explanation of the rod grips design of my entry. -
Tese are a set of two grips one carbon fiber and one hand carved tennessee cedar. The tip top fits both rod handles to choose which set of casting grips you would want to use. Shows my custom drawn design with a herring bone pattern and the Blue Heron Celtic symbol on each end of the Graphic in a metalic blue to match the wraps and grips on my vinyl cutter and flex coated over for a lifetime of durability.

Curt I built it from scratch. with a rainshadow fly rod blank. I built it from scratch. including the box from a rainshadow blank. I built the box from western red cedar and lined it with felt.and used a piano hinge. Here is another one I built with some metalic silver trim. There are only two in the world. -

This is a 7wt Fly travel fly rod blank converted to a combo Fly Spin with interchangeable but sections to be used as a fly or spining rod.
