Help - What's Happening Here With Dn ?

Any help on what is happening here with Dick Nite clear coat? I have had this happen on most baits I tried it on. It seems I have only had a 2-3 baits come out clean when I use Dick Nite's.

I brush it on. I have tried just hanging it to dry and turning it on a wheel.

I have ruined too many baits ... need advice.

I have also had DN actually remove the paint from the bait while applying it. Use Polytranspar, Wildlife and Createx. And I heat set every color that is applied.

Cavities Forming In Tails Of Top Pour Swimbaits

So I've decided I wanted to ask for a bit of help.

When I pour top-pour swimbait molds, after I've filled the mold and as the plastic cools, the tail section starts to get a cavity at the top (like a sinkhole developing in the middle of the meaty top part of the paddle tail)

I've been remedying this by, as the cavity forms, just adding a bit more plastic, but I end up with a cosmetically poor tail with what looks like little tumors on top of the tail where I added a few drops of extra plastic to fill the cavity.

Does anyone have a good solution that will help fix the cosmetic issue?

Quick Breakdown

Hi guys...im new to the forum and have some some questions. I have read through many past pages but I am guessen I just need a dumbed down answer. I have run into the problem (like many) where everything is going great until you dip it into the clear coat. Then all hell breaks loose and my paint strips, bubbles and runs before the epoxy hardens....so I guess my question Is this the steps to making a lure?

1. sandpaper
2. paint white
3. Paint the designs
4. clear primer coat
5. dip in clear epoxy
6. watch epoxy destroy paint job

Where am I going wrong in this process ??

Thinking Out Of The Box

Could you pls help me out?

I’m quit new to softplastic pouring and have a few questions about it. To ship materials from u$ or europe is a cost intensiv issue, due to shipping cost and taxes , so i have to think out of the box.

I heat plastic in the micro

Colors
-	Can i use createx airbrush colors (i guess they are somewhat waterbased, which would be a no-go)
-	Pigments. Making own colors, pigments mixed to non heated plastic?

Glitter
What about glitter/plastic in the micro? As long as the glitter is heatresistant and not metalic, there should not be a problem!?

I always weare gloves and a “helmet” http://www.wolkdirekt.com/images/600/AS4088/gesichtsschutz.jpg

I Need As Many Replies As I Can Get

Hey guys i've been in a mania since ive started makeing my own baits. I would like as many replies to this as i can get its just an idea i have and i think it may be good so i wanted to run it by you guys and see what you thin or have to say.
My dream is to own my own tackle shop with some of my custom stuff in it. But i took a closer look to the compitition out there and was blown away by how many companies are actually out there but none the less i want to do it. I did however find a lack in the system that no one had. Well there are tons of your normal bait shops with you stirkekings, bandits, lucky crafts and such. Sometimes they also have a few of there own creations in it also.
But anyway ill get to the point i think i want to open up a shop with everyones custom baits in it. I've looked on here and have been blown away with the baits and maybe if there was one place you could go to get them all it would be a hit.
Just an idea but if anyone wants to suggest anything or offer help truthfully i see so many great lure builders on here that this would be the main place to get all the custom baits. Sorry if this sounds all jumbled up because im kinda excited about the idea!h

Automotive Clear Over Createx

I am interested whether anyone has experience regarding 2K Automotive Clear's over createx or similar water based paint that they can share. I have enjoyed painting with Createx paint and would like to keep using it if possible, however, I dont know whether the two will be compatible. I know its not designed to go over createx, but curious whether it will work or not. From discussions I have had locally, there was opinion both ways except noone could confirm they had actually done it before to check. I expect I will spray the topcoat as dipping would cost way too much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and the Createx would be heat set before application of the topcoat.

Any information would be greatly apprieciated.
Thanks in advance

Automotive Clear Coat Shelf Life

I am hoping you guys / gals may be able to assist me with some Automotive topcoat information. I am thinking of changing my topcoat when I have suitable safety gear sorted, part of the decision logic is to try and understand the shelf life of the product once open. I havent decided on what sort to try, however, I am going to look at a 1K and 2K product from Dupont and another 2K product from PPG.

Does anyone have experience with the shelf life of the Automotive clear they are using? Given the quantity I understand you have to buy, shelf life is a big concern for me as I dont paint near enough baits to ensure it is all used up quickly.
Any help apprieciated.
