  1. Quite a while ago, someone on this forum shared a powder paint that looked to be "cracked"in its dried form resulting in a brownish, veined finish similar to a "Copperhead". I have exchanged PM's with Cadman and have verified it was not him. I would like to find this powder paint, or others, to try. I am looking for colors that are still nature-like, but different from the norm and standard colors used on jig heads and spinner baits. If you have any colors you would suggest (and especially if you know of or have the "Copperhead" color) please share it and the source where one might obtain it. Thanks Mifon Nashville TN
  2. Hi This is Raghubir from UAE, this is my first post in the group. I work as HR Manager and have been into lure making as a hobby , spend my week ends trying to master the art of making wooden lures. Developed this hobby while doing shore fishing here in Dubai and was excited of making my own lures. In UAE getting colors and other equipment's are very difficult and one need to buy online which are pretty expensive. Certain tools you need to develop yourself with the available resources and i made scroll saw from jig saw , will post the same in this group. I have started trying airbrushing my lures and bought basic cretex colors through eBay. The colors includes black & white opaque while red, blue & green are transparent . The problem i have specifically with red & white colors which i am not able to thin and results into clogging of airbrush. Could any one advise my how should i go about it or there are other brands which can shoot through airbrush easily and do not required thinning at all. My airbrush needle size are .2mm, .3mm & .5mm. Thanks, Raghubir
  3. I've been snooping around here looking for info or even a discussion on the topic with little luck outside of the sticky. Where do folks get their colors from? Any favorites or some you don't like? Some colors are very close to the same and maybe making a list for people new to the lifestyle can help them avoid purchasing the same thing. In my little exp I've seen some Pumpkin Seeds that are really close to Watermelon Browns. Notably the Do It x2 in those colors are pretty close. For someone who's making for themselves maybe one or the other could save them a few bucks.
