  1. When I first heard of this wood, I thought it was exotic and unavailable based on the name. Ben (Rayburnguy) posted that it grows in the United States. Come to find out, it has some great characteristics. It has the best strength to weight ratio of any wood. No knots, slightly more dense than balsa, and cheaper to boot. Now if I can just find some. I see some surfboard supply sources around $10 per board foot. Where do you get yours, and what do you pay?
