glitter

Recommended Posts

I like to use the 2 oz bottles of paint-on glitter sold at Michaels, etc. Thin it with water and apply with a soft brush. The advantage? You can exactly control where and how much you apply. It's cheaper than dry glitter and comes in a wider range of colors and particle sizes.

Check your area for a glitter called Poly-Flake. I found mine at Hobby Lobby craft stores. It seems to be solvent proof and mixes in very good with any clearcoat or topcoat. Some of the colors are holographic types and some are more like pearls called Disco. The Disco colors won't show up very well until they are applied over the recommended colors, then they will pop. Otherwise they look a little transparent. All this glitters are very, very fine but it did clog my airbrush when I was shooting with a fine needle.

The Kelly Green looks great.

This is the site I found these pics on but I have never bought from them. The price seems about right and you would have to make a lot of very large baits to use up a tube of it.
