Just to rub a little salt in you northern boys wounds, it was 85 here Saturday & Sunday. Carried my wife and lil crumbgrabber out stripe fishing both afternoons. Sunday afternoon we caught 52 with the average fish being 3 pounds. Largest was 6 pounds. Caught most on jigging spoons but several on a Spook. They kept me busy taking fish off the hooks for them most the afternoon. Can't wait until this weekend!

85? What wonderful weather. The sun has left Michigan now until April. LOL
Sounds like you and gang had a nice time out. That's great. thanks for letting us know there is life south of us and it's fishable. #3Posted 03 November 2003 - 10:03 PM
After a long tournament season, (we start in Feb) it's nice to kick back and just go fishin'. This last Saturday I sure enough had the whole gang there. My oldest son is 21 and has his own boat. He was there along with my brother, cousin, me, my wife and stepson. So yeah, the gang was all there!

Nice weather is OK, but 52 fish averaging 3lbs.- now that's good news! I'd go out in freezing rain for that!

Big Splash, don't overlook that these were stripe, not regular bass. I'd fish in any weather for a day of bass fishing like that!

I enjoy catching whatever is biting well! If the action is hot, Great!
Just to return the salting, I fished for salmon mid Oct. The action was so hot I lost count of how many fish I hooked up in the first four hours. I filled my daily limit of one over 62cm. with a fifty lb. + chinook male. (see gallery photos). ,and released/broke off about 20 more. We had to quit at 11.00am so we could make a 9 hour drive to be home for work! My arms still hurt two weeks later! #8Posted 16 November 2003 - 08:19 PM
Bass fished yesterday on Pickwick. Only caught 2, one was a five pounder. About lunch we started stripe fishing. Ended up with 29. Largest was a 9.5 pounder. Caught most of them on rattle traps.
Went back bass fishing this afternoon on the Tenn-Tomm waterway. Only fished two hours and had nine nice bass. One five pounder and a four pounder. The rest were just good solid two pounder. All were spots. Caught most these fish on soft plastics I received in the swap. Only BAD thing was my wife beat me. I DID catch the biggest! [/img] Attached Files#9Posted 16 November 2003 - 11:46 PM
Nice fish Basskat. I can relate to that picture, but usually my wife is the one holding the bigger fish.
