made these for a guy in the San Diego area. the large one is 12", 9 oz., floating. the smaller ones are 7", 2.5 oz., slow sinking swimmers.

They look very realistic. It's just like they're cut up to be eaten
What is the fin material? Feather?

John was kind enough to tell me that the tail material is a product from the fly tying world called microfibetts. Thin durable tapered synthetic fibers. I'm going to be using them on my own swimbaits and yes, they do look amazing.
Johns baits are phenomenal aren't they? I always enjoy every new batch he comes up with.

I agree with Boskabouter, let's get a skillet heated up on the river bank and eat those...

I think you could catch alot of fishermen on that. I want to see there face went you drag them into the river. poor poor fishermen! thay dont have a chance!
