Muddy Tires Posted November 17, 2003 Report Share Posted November 17, 2003 Hello all, I have seen some lures on this site with coloured hooks and was wondering if they are custom painted or store bought. The coloured hooks at my local tackle store are very expensive and not easy to find in all the right sizes. How are they clear coated so that they do not look all gummed up? Nathan Posted November 17, 2003 Report Share Posted November 17, 2003 Big Spash is right...blade dip will color hooks just fine.Besure the hooks are tinned,permasteel,or gold for the color to look right.I use Diiachi bleeding hooks on most my lures,but they are kind of pricey!! wether you dye your own red or buy them that way,the die starts wearing off very quickley!!..Nathan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
