McMaster-Carr has about anything you need in stainless wire in 1/4 pound quantities and up at a real decent price. I do believe that www.mcmastercarr.com is what you need. I've never made a foam lure, so I really can't comment specifically. If I were you, and made foam lures, I'd make a test piece and see how strongly a twist wire would hold in it. Vodkaman Posted January 12, 2008 Report Share Posted January 12, 2008 For foam baits it is counter productive to do anything but through wire. It's quicker, easier, stronger, repeatable, cuts down on operations like drilling. Once the correct ballast and its location have been established, the hanger can be formed to a shape were the ballast can be cast onto the hanger. This reduces the operations even further.
