I bought some and as far as I can tell its alright. Someone on here said that there paint ran when dipped into it. I paint mine and heat set the paint and haven't had any problems. As far as durability, I havent tried any of them out due to a foot of ice on the area lakes.

I guess we should be glad you still have lakes freezing over, what with the polar ice caps and all the glaciers melting.
Who knows, you may be in the tropics before you know it? )

I'd rate it as fair. It's durability IMHO is not that great. So, so for bass, but I wouldn't recomend it for anything with real teeth. I switched to Dick Nite's clearcoat after reading some threads an there's no way I'd go back. Devcon 2 epoxy is good also.

thanks for your answers, creekmonster do you dip in dicknites or brush it on,do u cut it to thin?

Well, the first time I dipped it, but it ran the paint on a couple of my lures, (lacquer paint) so I thinned some, sprayed a thin coat over the paint, let it dry (24 hrs) and then dipped. No problems. i haven't brushed it yet, but I'm getting a little low in the jar, so I'll be trying that pretty soon. I'm still pretty new to the Dick Nite's, so don't take my word for it. Dean Mclain and a couple of others have helped me quite a bit and I'm sure they would be happy to help. I have tried a lot of clearcoats and Dick's by far is the winner for me IMHO. Just make sure you don't put any used back in the original container or let any drip back in, It will start to cure in the jar. Search a few posts and you should find whatever answers you need from people far more qualified on this subject than me. Good Luck!
