bass lure size

Borderbass,

I stand corrected.

I just went out to the boat and measured it, and you're right, it's not 10", it's only 8 1/2".

I guess I just don't know what 10" looks like. :o)

lol Mark, I'm tempted to make a remark, but am barely restraining myself...

Actually I know of one study where size of lure affected the size of bass caught but not the catch rate.

Clemmy,

I must have been confused with the 10" triple trout. Yeah, that's the ticket! :o)

I see some of the swim baits my friends and other guys out here in SoCal are throwing, and mine look small by comparison. :o)

Mark,

You know what they say, it's not the size, it's the motion of the ocean.

Or action of the lure, ;)

Clemmy,

This is getting pretty deep. Better break the rubber boots.

Next thing you'll tell me the motion causes morning sickness. :o)

I generally stay less than 8" for most of the lakes I fish, such as Amistad, Falcon, and Choke Canyon. I live a good ways from those lakes, so I like 6" baits for the lakes around here.
