What Type Of Jig Head Is This???

Recommended Posts

The only difference I see is the hook is not a flat eye like most of the Arkie jigs made. But molds can be modified to fit almost any style hook. It does look wider though based on the picture. Other than that, it looks like a true Arky to me. But I've never heard of the maker.

What that jig looks like is Bob Kornhousers old "Dee's Flippin Jig" that he manufactured under the R&B Tackle name. The orignal jig had a single Plastic Coated Sturgon Leader for a weedguard. This one has the fiber guard. The closest thing to that would be the Arkie.

I don't think that's anything more than the standard Arky style from Do-it. The newer style is with the flat eye but I would recommend the flat eye. I think it comes through cover better (I think you're using at delta?) and doesn't roll as much coming through/over tules. Flat eye in my own opinion is a better design.
