beginner help

hey guys, been reading this site for a good while now, but dont make any baits except pouring and tying my own jigs. im thinkin about getting into making some crankbaits and topwater plugs. could you guys give me an idea of what tools/materials i would need to start carving and making wooden crankbaits. also any tips would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks, LOZ

Loz, do a search of this section on specific questions you have regarding tools and techniques. The basic questions have been answered a number of times in the recent past and there are literally hundreds of posts on techniques and tips. Tools, wood, lips, hardware, painting, clearcoating, lure design are all covered in depth.

I try to keep my belly unweighted...but for some strange reason the weight is always there!! Sorry LOZ!!!! I BEEN SMELLIN PAINT ALL DAY!! This is my entertainment... Not making fun of you!!! Really making fun and jokin at myself... and my FAT GUT!!!

I got lures I weight and some I dont have too!! TRAIL AND ERROR!! JOIN THE CLUB!!!!

There are so mainy places to look for your answers to your question. The likes below will take you into some aspects of lure building to get you thinking a little. This is just the tip of the ice burge... I'm hoping this will get you a basic knowledge to get you started. You're going to have to do some testing and see what works for you.
