downsizing baits / Jerkbaits

Recommended Posts

Hello together,

I have a question for downsizing baits / Jerkbaits.

Is there any information how to reduce the thickness in relation to the length?

e.g.

I have a Jerkbait which is normally 15cm long and 19mm thick.

In which relation I have to reduce the thickness when I want to build this bait in 9cm to 10cm length...

Your experiences are welcome

Regards

Take 2 Pictures, one side on and one plan view - Save it to your computer and open it with ' Microsoft Paint'- Using the 'Crop' tool cut away ends of picture to the end of your lure (save it). Click 'Image' on the top menu bar, then 'Resize', set size to Cm and scroll up or down until you get the sizes you want (save it) and then print it- if not quite the right size, open again and repeat, either enlarge or reduce.

You can also use a 'Ratio and Proportion' formula, if you know how to do that- IT'S EASY - divide 15cm or 150mm by 19mm = 7.854.

Then divide your required length- 100 mm by 7.854 = 12.732mm wide. A lure 10cm long would be 12.732 mm wide . pete
