squids

Recommended Posts

been thinking about the squid run comming this spring(may):) been building some poppers and spooks..used propionate to seal..wish I'd tried this stuff when I first heard a couple of guy talking about it on other sites. so far I'm loveing this sealer...poppers 1.5oz just over 5 inch and spook-like other is 2.5oz and 6 inch...I guess a real spook the eye tie would have to be under the nose:)there cypress wood...the spook has a 15 gram tailweight after testing I'm thinking of putting a 13 gram tailweight in...:)

Hi....Im new to the site. I have the bug to build some lures...so I started poking my nose into this and some other sites to increase my "learnabilty". I noticed the wicked looking top water squids posted by StriperCrazy. I am familiar with the angled head variety, but what about the bullet headed one? What kind of action does that provide? Does it splash when pulled?
