Hey Brian,
I don't know what you call large, but Hagen's has crystal chenille in chartreuse - size 2mm, $2.25 for 3 yards. If you've got their catalog, it's page163.

Hi Brian,
I'm a 'long-time listener' to the forums, mostly in the softbaits and wirebaits section (new hobbies for me). I've tied flies commercially for a number of years and guide for smallmouth. A great source for chenille is Barlow's Tackle (FISHING TACKLE for bass fishing, crappie, walleye, trout.Fishing lures, fishing hooks, lead molds. BARLOWS FISHING TACKLE.). They carry a big selection and offer some of their chenilles in 'bulk' skeins at a good discount. No wholesale prices, but still quite cheap.

This is a buddy of mine from the Crappie.com board. If he ain't got it he can get it. Take a photo of exactly what you're looking for and use the link at the site and email it to him. He'll get back to you.

Prices are good and if you find what you're looking for a want a skein tell him. If he can get it he'll order it by the skein for you.

Hope this helps.

  • Soft underfoot with a lustrous sheen. Recommended for low-traffic areas such as the bedroom. Made of natural fibers.
