Recommended Posts

These are some of my latest repaints for some bass club members and I have got about 30 more on the rack. This little hobby has turned into quite a bit of work, but I love it.Don't get to visit here much anymore but I am still getting into the new house and chores are running out my ears.Tell me what you guys think.A TU member ask me to do a video, and as soon as I get my shop up and running I may try to do it(I will need some help on the video part).....Robert

Robert,

Just give a shout - anything I can - I will do.

As always, your baits are looking good. Don't tell me your shop has been relocated... I thought your prior arrangement was perfect!B)

I may do that Spike when I get settled in the house and get some spare time. And yes my setup was perfect, but we have got a new supervisor and I haven't met him yet so I don't want to make a bad first impression. If he were to show up and I have my "paint booth" set up he might not understand, but I heard he was a fisherman. He needs to hurry up and come up there so I can get an idea of how he's going to be,because I have about 30 crankbaits I need to get done. The internet thing at work has really got me down, just have to find time to get on at home.

Iwata who? Who needs airbrushes anyway. How about them alabama boys!!! What brands of cans are you using? Awesome job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started out with cheap walmart cans but they didn't do very well so it was on to the "high dollar":lolhuh:Krylon and it does pretty go.od.Now I do use some Rustoleum metal flake colors

amazing work. I'm a rattle canner myself and that there is some inspiration!

Just take your time and be patient and use a lot of stencils,oh and a big imagination helps too.Like the guys say anything you see at any store and especially dollar stores could be a potential pattern or tool, like combs, forks, hair barrets, lace, drill bit sizing plates for eyes, the list is endless.I use a comb with curvy teeth(which is made for someone with a fro or long hair which is not me I barely can keep what little hair i've got)and net underneath to do the stripes on the Tru Gill.

Alright,im a dork.

A rattle can is a can of spraypaint,right........

Nice paint job!

Yea it is a spray can.

Thanks for all the kind words guys,it means alot to know I might, just might have some sort of talent(it sure ain't catching fish)....Rob
