Bluegill examples for painting or foiling

I posted a couple of photos in the gallery that I wanted to share. They give a good example of the differences in bluegill and sunfish and color variety. These came out of the same pond on the same day.
These also make me believe that if you get the basic colors mixed into the bait somewhere that you can't hardly screw up your paint job.
You guys that were printing over foil might have fun with these.

wow those are very nice photos.
i will probably be using the first photo (juvie bluegill) on my swimbaits! thats exactly what the bluegills look like at the local park.

Thanks 76 for taking the time to post those. Those WILL make excellent transfers for photo finishes.

I know, I'm showing my age, but it still amazes me.
And my oldest daughter just emailed from Valpariso, Chile, where she's studying for a semester.

heres a bait i made using one of your pictures!
i weighted it just right so it sits on its nose, should be good for bed fishing in the spring:

very cool, you may motivate me to get off my ... and to the same thing. there is a place I know that always has a bed in the same spot that is a prime candidate for that bait.
