Fat Ratz Posted December 25, 2003 Report Share Posted December 25, 2003 I just picked up some Sevenstrand uncoated wire in 135 lb. size to make some weedless spider jigs. It is a twisted stainless wire. I picked up mine at Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas also caries it. They make larger sizes so you can make one with a single weeedguard or make a double and use a smaller size wire. You will just need to experiment and see what works best. BR Posted December 26, 2003 Report Share Posted December 26, 2003 Fat Ratz I've looked (on the internet) at BPS & Cabelas for this seven strand uncoated wire and the best I could come up with was a short piece that was included on a King Mackeral bait rig. BR Posted December 27, 2003 Report Share Posted December 27, 2003 Fat Ratz I've not seen this wire as yet but there is a picture at BPS of a crappie jig called 'Veg-E-Jig' made by Lindy that uses this wire as a weed guard.
