A friend of mine gave me a boat load of fly tying supplies, even though I have never tied flies. I took them, thinking maybe down the road I would give fly tying a shot. I finally did and my end results were not the best. My daughter worked for Orvis and was taught how to do it, however, she lives 3000 miles away.
Since I make mostly Bass baits(wooden and plastic), I would like to give tying Bass Bugs a try. My question is: Is there a website that gives instructions strictly for tying Bass Bugs? Are there are any books that gives the procedures on doing Bass Bugs?
Thanks for any info.

This doesn't help you getting started, but after mastering the basics of hair bug tying, I'd refer you to a good book by Fullum, called "Fishy's Flies"...it runs about 10 bucks, but has a variety of approaches to fly tying and is really interesting as well as fun to do. At least, take a browse through it in the bookstore. Soft cover, fairly large format. Good fishing, Mac
