Hey guys, I'm wondering if I could use the joint system somewhat like DSV's with screw eyes?

So many different things around here , far too much to have all in mind , could you please specify about your questions and problems:yes: ?

I'm not sure if the screw eyes have wide enough openings fit together without much friction (crosslocking)

They do have enough play , you could even move the sections more than 180° , if not limited by the shape of the lurebody .
Obtain stainless steel screweyes exclusively , don't go for brass , they break easier or twist off in hardwood easily when assembling them into too small pilot holes .
For each interlocking pair of eyes you'd need one open and one closed eye , two open would do either .
I purchase those eyes at Welcome to Moore's Lures .
good luck , diemai

I lube all the insed joint faces of my jointed lures when they're new with Megastrike, or whatever scent is handy.
The epoxy will bind (crosslock) when it's new, but, once I've coated it once, it's never a problem again.
I guess I could just wax the lures, but a little scent never hurts.
