rookiepourer Posted January 4, 2004 Report Share Posted January 4, 2004 I have been experimenting with my 5.25" stick mold that I got from Del-mart molds (great mold Del). I have been pool testing them and they fall just like the real senko. I use a small hot plate and 1 cup pouring pans. I use 1/2cup Calhoun plastic and 4tbsp table salt ground up in a coffee grinder. No softener. melt the plastic and color until you get the color just right and then add the salt and stir stir and stir. Then you have the add more color until it's just right again (some colors you have to add twice as many drops). Once you have your color formulas you can just add them before adding your salt. Keep stirring until the salt is all mixed up. Pour a few baits and then reheat and stir some more. By constantly stirring this keeps the salt suspended in the plastic.
