Any tips on pouring screw lock jig heads

I've always been a little confused about how you put your trailer onto these jigs.  Do you rotate it as you thread it on, so it actually screws itself onto the spring, or do you just force it over the spring, and let the extra friction of the coils do the holding?

You rotate it.  Just pushing it over the coils doesn't add much extra hold.

Might want to look at the Shad Head Rig Jig. Same type profile as the pic you posted and would only have to modify it to accept the screw lock. It has an eye socket but not as much fish detail as your pic. Also accepts the Eagle Claw platinum hooks as opposed to the Mustad.

Another option would be the poison tail jig. It’s a weedless Jig that is designed for an EWG hook but could be modified and poured without the weedguard. It has more fish detail.

1/16, 1/8 , 1,4 ,1/2 but I’d settle for whatever I could get.  I hook it and spin it they work really good when I’m catching reds and trout. I barely ever use them when I’m freshwater fishing.

Your best bet is going to be modifying the Shad Head rig.  Use a Dremel and go slow.  Once you have it modified to accept the screw lock then put plumbers putty in the cavity to prevent lead from flowing back and plugging up the screw lock.

There's also the Worm Nose jig.  http://store.do-itmolds.com/Worm-Nose-Jig-wScrew-Locbr116-18-316-14-516-38_p_559.html and the Ultra Minnow jig  http://store.do-itmolds.com/Ultra-Minnow-JigbrSz-18-14-38-12-58brHk-604brCollar-Holder_p_1044.html

Most any jig with a lead collar is easily modified to use the screw locks.  I pour a lot of the Style H jigs in larger sizes with a screw lock.  I just use the plumbers putty to hold the screw lock in place and prevent the lead from flowing back.
