Hello, just to let you all know a little bit about me. I'm 38 years old from a small towm in Southeastern Kentucky. I currently work in corrections, before that I did tool and die work for seven years.

Well, how I got started in lure making. As a child i lived in south Florida and there was a bucktail jig that my father always used when he went fishing. When he passed i inhered his tackle box. On return trips to florida as a young man i ran out of his supply of jigs and could not seem to find this one type of jig in any of the tackle shops around. I then decided to attemp to make the jig. For my next trip to florida I made approximalely 300.
On return to the dock after the first day of fishing all the older men came by to see how the day went. to make a long story short after seeing our catch they questioned me as to what type of bait i used. needless to say i sold all but about 50 of my jigs, so the idea arose why not do this for extra fishing money. I now have about 4 tackle shops in Flordia i supply with bucktail jigs.

Thanks in advanced for all the help i will need.

Welcome. That's great with your baits.
