Anyone ever seen this bait?

8 posts in this topic

I have my first assignment for a friend. I asked him to give me a good challenge and this is what he sent me. I don't really understand how this is supposed to work. Seems somewhat Jitterbug like to me (assuming it floats.) I thought that some of you would be able to shed some light on it for me. Thanks in advance!

While I cannot get the bottom pic to enlarge, it appears to be a jerk/glide bait. The tail creates drag and I'd bet that the body is weighted to give it a downward bias when jerked.

The resolution is so bad on the pics anyway this is probably your best look at it. It looks like the tail is actually the head and it appeared to have 2 eye hooks in it. He sent a couple more pictures I can add. I would appreciate any further commentary.

In light of your previous posts, I think you should slow down some and concentrate on getting a bait to swim, learning from the experience.

I do understand the enthusiasm you feel, but flitting from one extreme project to another is going to teach you nothing.

Yeah, I'm sure that would be the best thing for me, but I like a good fall on my face every now and then to keep me in check. I'll keep you posted.
