just thought i'd post a hi i'm new etc etc post here as my first post, i found the site last night while browsing so thought i'd join up.

i'm relatively new to this lure making i've got a few and on the whole the ones i've created have been succsessful so far, i don't currently have an airbrush so most of my lures so far have been hand painted ok they might not look as good but they still work.

a friend airbrushed my last 2 and i was very impressed with the finish so will be looking into getting my own airbrush.

heres a pic of my best one to date in action (went and lost it after this fish GUTTED :()

@ Mart

Welcome in here , you've found the right place to lead you straight to addiction about your "relatively new" hobby (or call it passion ???) !

Hopefully you have kept records about that beautiful "perch" glider , looks like a good producer for your local Yorkshire pike ,.......you need to build some more , as it seems !

Mart, welcome to TU.

From the looks of that lure, you are well ahead of the game.

Hello Mart

I know Wintersett well though I have only ever managed jacks from it:(. The Aire in the centre of Leeds is definitely worth attention as I have heard of very big fish though not witnessed any (pike) there is quite often a lot of truth in rumour.

If we can be of help just chirp up as you are now in lure makers mecca on this board and in the company of the cream of lure makers (I do not include myself in that observation by the way). Your pals paint job looks excellent and even better with a pike attached ;).

Mmmmm rule 21 eh. I believe this ruling to be unfair bordering upon racist. As such I have today taken steps to rectify this situation. Dave, you will shortly be receiving your summons along with Jerry and Spike. Please be aware that non attendance carries a lengthy custodial sentence and is internationally recognized and enforceable.

If there is no impropriety then you have no need to worry, in fact Strasbourg is lovely at this time of year and we could have a few days sightseeing and a few nights enjoying the cultural nightlife . They do tell me they do a particularly good organic cake which is so good it actually makes you happy .

See you at the Hague. Follow the link for directions.

I had no idea that Strasbourg was a holiday location. I'm there, the flight is booked!

I'm always partial to a slice of cake, especially green. I believe in saving the planet.

I believe that a new government white paper has been proposed, introducing a border control around Yorkshire. Not sure if passports are involved, but the international trading price of barbed wire has risen as a result.
