holographic film

Recommended Posts

anyone using holographic film as an overlay on your lures check out your local party store or gift store. the local Dollar Store has these gift bags in all different holographic finishes and patterns. a huge bag cost me $1.99. probably about 80 sq. inches total.

i cut out enough to cover a lure, soak the piece in some hot water for about 10 minutes and then use your finger to roll off the paper backing. leaves you with a thin film that can be glued to the body of the bait. stop rubbing when you stop getting paper rolled up.

here's a pic of the bag i got. zoom in on the image to see the eyeball effect.

JR- Yes I have done quite a few with this mylar film, but I found after fishing a few the D2T does not bond too well to the glossy mylar surface - when you hit a rock or the water hard the coating falls off in slabs, maybe some of that plastic primer that '68KingFisher' mentioned in a recent post would be a good interface for the D2T.pete
