I am going to make my first resin 2 part mold and was wondering what you guys use to seperate the 2. Would I just follow the same directions as the plaster of paris?

The main problem with 2 part resin molds is the heat warping; both rom the curing stage and pouring baits. I only tried it once and could not get a good seal between the parts so there was a great deal on flashing when I poured. More trouble than it's worth.:twocents:

If you want to try it I would use a thin layer of vasaline as a release agent.

Thanks for the info.. I wouldn't want to waste resign when I can use in my boat.:) I would use POP but its a worm with a lot of small features on it and if I seal it it would just fill in. Who know maybe I can get it to work.
