Lexan Thickness For Lips

Recommended Posts

I use 1/16" thick for bass baits. Lexan does flex a bit so if I want thinner stuff, I go with more rigid 1/32" circuit board. Nothing wrong with thicker Lexan but it does change the bait's balance and I've gotten used to building with 1/16".

What thickness of polycarbonate AKA Lexan do most guys use I been using .60 or 1/16" but

was looking at some .30 or 1/32” just wondering if that would be thick enough

A lot depends on what fish you are going after. For bass 1/16 is what the majority of bait makers use including myself. I would be a little careful with anything less in lexan. Circuit board at 1/32 works well for bass.
