I make these large clatterbaits and like all of these baits large or small there is a flaw in the design. Which is: where the blade and the head are connected. The metal from the blade and connector from the head have to rub each other to make the wobble during retreive. They wear out in time. I've tried the split wring method but the bait fouls to often. Any suggestions on an alternate way of attaching blade ond head?

What blade thickness are you using. Might could try using a thicker blade.
