JLester Posted January 18, 2010 Report Share Posted January 18, 2010 I used DN for the first time today. Can't believe how much EZ'er it is then D2T. Looks just as good or better and not as thick. RayburnGuy Posted January 18, 2010 Report Share Posted January 18, 2010 I tried using the cheap acid brushes because they were so cheap and could just be thrown away after using, but I seemed to have a lot more trouble with bubbles in the coating when applying it. Started using artists brushes and noticed a significant improvement on the smoothness in which the top coat went on and didn't have nearly so much trouble with air bubbles. Lure--Prof Posted January 21, 2010 Report Share Posted January 21, 2010 After cleaning with alcohol, I take my brush to the sink and wash it thoroughly with Dawn detergent and rinse well. This will get rid of the bubbles (will allow use of the acid brushes too). A buddy told me that he uses acetone to clean his brushes, and he doesn't have to do the soap aand water thing.
