Brushing On Dn

Recommended Posts

I tried using the cheap acid brushes because they were so cheap and could just be thrown away after using, but I seemed to have a lot more trouble with bubbles in the coating when applying it. Started using artists brushes and noticed a significant improvement on the smoothness in which the top coat went on and didn't have nearly so much trouble with air bubbles. I give them a good cleaning in denatured alcohol after using and they are ready to go again.

After cleaning with alcohol, I take my brush to the sink and wash it thoroughly with Dawn detergent and rinse well. This will get rid of the bubbles (will allow use of the acid brushes too). A buddy told me that he uses acetone to clean his brushes, and he doesn't have to do the soap aand water thing. (I know I just posted this in another thread, but here ya go) :)
