Hey all, I am thinking about getting into pouring my own soft plastic baits and was wondering what you all think about pouring outside. I don't have a garage or a shop to pour in, so I thinking about some sort of portable set up in the back yard. My patio is not covered so I will be open to the elements and of course I know that I will only be pouring on blue bird sky days.
What do you all think and what else should I be aware of besides moisture?
Thanks,
TDawg

pouring out side is the best ventilation you can get,...moisture and maybe the wind,, it can move your pour stream when pouring fine areas.I like to do it out side on the deck,, but its a lot of work to move all the stuff out side then bring it back in.If you set up a area out side to always use it would be nice.

Wind and Water are the biggest issues. My set up is at the edge of my garage so i do get some wind every so often. Even outside i would still use a fan to blow any fumes away from the working area, just put the backside of the fan close enough to suck the fumes in and then out away from you.

I pour outdoors 100% of the time and like the others said wind and moisture are the two big things.
Also I have had stuff blow out of my tree and in to my pot and if your pouring on a very hot day try not to sweat in to your pot.
