El Salto Tilapia Crankbait

Recommended Posts

I am heading to El Salto for the first time in June and want to paint some baits for the trip. I have seen tilapia pictures that show the blue tilapia (like those in Amistad) as well as darker (brown, green, black, gold) colored almost bluegill looking tilapia Does anyone have any experience on the lake? What is the most prevalent subspecies in El Salto?

Actually, the tilapia on Amistad are the green tilapia. The tilapia on Falcon are the blue tilapia. I have been told that the tilapia in El Salto are the same as Amistad, the green tilapia. I have not been to El Salto, so I can not say for sure. I fish Amistad a lot and also Falcon. I have attached several picutres that I have collected.

If you want to paint some green tilapia cranks, I'll be more than glad to test them for you on Amistad!
