i want to make plastic swimbaits look more like custome painted crankbaits.... any ideas?

Two ways that are talked about on this site is either painting them or playing with multiple colors and glitter.

Painting with soft plastic paint is the only way to get the patterns. You can do a simple pour and catch fish, or you can paint them up to look like a fish and catch fisherman.

do you just use the paint from lurecraft that is for plastics or is there a different paint .
and what about clear coat do you re-dip it in clear plastic after painting ...
i know its not nessasary to try to make baits look like art , but i think we all do .
