is there a certain foil to use for baits or would you just use standard baking foil and is it applied using impact adhesive think i'll have a play about see how good i am at foiling baits

The best foil to use is the thinnest you can find. Most use the cheap dollar store brand. To apply the foil, I use Elmer's spray adhesive. There are many other ways to do this but this is a basic overview. It has worked well for me.

I like adhesive foil, no messing with glues. First I tried aluminum duct tape. Works, but it is thicker than ideal. Then I found this stuff:
The Brite-Bak tape works great, is thin and strong and has good adhesive. Peel and stick.
