Primer or do you go straight to paint, such as an opaque black or opaque white? Mainly just trying to figure out if primer is necessary. Thanks! Thanks! depends on what basecoat color i am using, but i usually use a primer. i have gone to straight black, but no matter what base coat i start with, i always sand with 500+ grit. youll find with a fine sand pre paint will smooth out any rough areas or little bumps Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
