Is using two screw eyes still the preferred way to create a jointed tail? Has anyone tried stainless cable to join the two parts? I have never created a jointed bait and want to give it a try. Thx.

Most guys that I know use the stainless steel screw eyes. I use thru wire construction on all of my of my baits including jointed baits. It's alot more time but I think it's worth it. Take care. Jim

Either way works although the screw eyea are easier. You can also use a flat plate that is pinned in each half of the joint.
