I've used Dupont Chromaclear and PPG Ceramiclear with no additives and they work excellent as a clear coat. My only inhibition with these is you are working with isocyanates and you should really have a fresh oxygen respirator to spray them. The cheapest one I've found (hobby air) is about $4-500. I spray using an 3M organic filter mask with HEPA particulate filter, suit and nitrile gloves, but I'm still paranoid every time I get a cold that it's something related to the 2 pack clear spraying. I'd like somthing else, but so far Dick Nites is a pain in the butt and epoxy isn't much better. Sometimes I paint baits for others on a very tight schedule so I'm not much of a fan of waiting days or weeks for things to cure. Surely big production outfits like Strike King, Rapala use something else and the paint holds up pretty well. Not bullet proof, but what is.
