How To Clean Eyelets?

Recommended Posts

I am just starting with the jig making and am having trouble will cleaning the eyelets so they look professional. I have been dipping my jig heads in vinyl lure and jig finish paint. I am going to try the pro-tec powder paint next to see if it works any better and possibly airbrush the heads. How do you guys get clean eyelets?

I use powder paint. I dip my jigs in the powde,r as soon as I take it out of the powder I take a clean drill bit and push the shank end (not the cutting end) through the eyelet and pull it out the other side. Works like a charm everytimne.

I use an old spinnerbait head with a very heavy hook, it'll pop the pro-tec right off before you heat cure them.
