Foil

Recommended Posts

Found some foil at Hobby Lobby today. 12 sheets, 6 different colors.

Each sheet is about 4" x 5". It measures .003" per sheet. I only opened it up enough to measure the sheet, I didn't check all colors. Cost was $1.99.

They are called Hot Metallic Pen foil refills. Web sit on package:

www.craftsect.com

Looks like it would work to me.

I saw that stuff,

Wasnt sure what it was for, I mean, what the heck is a hot foil pen

The ones I saw had some wild patterns, like a swirly metallic type deal goin on.

Test that stuff out Coley & see what it can do, does it stretch at all to accomodate curves in a lure body?, that would be tops.

I'm thinking that its a "thermofoil" that uses heat to lay on the piece being coated. if someone had a small vacuumformer, that might be the ticket.

Do they have any chrome looking sheets, or holographic?

Thanks, let me know how that goes.

The colors are: red, blue, green, gold, silver and swirl.

Don't know about the pen yet.

Also found a material called: Funky Film.

Its a sticky back material that measures .003" and is a fantastic Holographic. Their web site is:

www.grafixarts.com

They also have Funky Tape, and the funky film comes in various size

sheets.

Hope this helps.

Nathan, I believe the product your talking about is Top-Flite Monokote.

I used to use it when I built radio control models. Its good stuff, fairly easy to apply. It could loosen up if left in the hot sun. I have seen wing

covering wrinkle when left out for a while.
