Many thanks

I was just asked this week if i wanted to go to CA with work for a week, of which i only have to work 3 days so that means two days to fish!!!!! (and fit in a bit of shopping otherwise missus won't be happy!) Last time i fished in the USA I was 16! So am delighted to be blessed with this unexpected chance to wet a line in the US again and hopefully hook a bass or two!! I have already crammed the travel rod in to the suitcase and leave Switzerland tomorrow morning. I will rent a car and go to the closest tackle shop on Thursday when i am finished with work, but the question is where to fish? I have to leave from SFO airport on Saturday afternoon and was just thinking to head through San Jose towards Gilroy and go to the outlet stores there and then find a lake and a place to stay for the remaining day and half.
Any advice from one of you locals on the best place to go where i can find a place to stay and drive around and shore fish for bass & crappie, would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks Simon Edited by Green_Fingers, 07 May 2011 - 11:00 AM. #2Posted 14 May 2011 - 12:17 AM
Went to Uvas and Chesbro reservoirs today, caught 3 bass 2 over 3 pounds one of which was on my home poured wild willie... it was a nice scenic drive up there and despite a being quite windy had a great day!
