There is not a special "software program" that plastic bag manufacturers use. I would use a company near you so you can stop by for revisions and discuss your ideas. But first I would decide on the plastic bag company and see what format they prefer the artwork to be in. I decided to go with Johnson Bags because they had the lowest minimum quantity I could find (16K) and Doreen was great to work with and very helpful. The first thing you need to do is find out if the bag manufacturer you are considering will use your art work. Contact them and see what program they use and if they will take your artwork instead. They probably will still want a setup charge for the internal work that has to be done. You won't be able to send them a file and they just "dump it" into their computer and are good to go. Red's Baits Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 Watch out for the number of colors you use. Each color is a plate charge. The last time I spoke with Johnson bag co it was like 165 per plate and a 6 to 8 week lead time once you have the final art work finished plus a 10k min order for bags.
