Dick Nite Idea?

Recommended Posts

Caney Creek is puting its new plastic in a bag container just like they do wine. It works great. Wondering if they could do Dick Nite this way? There would be no air exposer except for the amount you pull out of the container. If it would work we could buy in larger amounts as no worry about air contaimation. What do you think? Maybe Dick Nite will see this and respond.

Not sure what type of plastic the collapsible bags are made of, but I tried storing some DN in a plastic jar and that was a bad idea as it started to go bad pretty quickly. Later found out that the DN has a reaction to the plastic.

You can get pretty much the same result by "tapping the keg". Turn your un-opened can of DN upside down and poke a small hole in the side of the can at what is now the top. (remember the can is now upside down so you don't spill any when making the hole) Then just insert a sheet metal screw to act as a valve of sorts. When needed just back out the screw and draw off however much you want.

Looked at it, but since there are solvents in our product, the bag has to be solvent-proof.

One of the big (3M?) companies sells a useable bag system, but when I contacted them about Pint and Quart size bags - well, let's just say that they are pretty proud of their products! They wanted over $4 for a single pint sized bag - and that was if I ordered 10,000 of them!

Still looking...
