smalljaw Posted August 4, 2011 Report Share Posted August 4, 2011 In all my years of fishing and tackle making I have never saw a leader sleeve made from stainless and I believe they don't make them because they are designed to crimp and other materials are just better for it. If you are looking for corrosion resistant sleeves , I'd suggest to take a look on aluminum alloy sleeves, such as Jinkai. cadman Posted August 5, 2011 Report Share Posted August 5, 2011 All of you guys are correct. I have looked in the past as well, and I spoke to one manufacturer of sleeves and they didn't make them. Reason being is you can't crimp them with a manual tool. The stainless is too hard. There are some that are manufactured in stainless steel with a leader, buy that is all done by machine.
