After searching for answers about the Norman bait in my last post I got to thinking about some other lures that had undergone name changes.
Does anyone remember what the original name of the Zara Spook was? And what it was made out of? Ben #2Posted 11 September 2011 - 05:42 AM
The original wood version, the Zaragossa, was made in
the 1920s for fishing in Florida. #4Posted 11 September 2011 - 09:36 AM

You and me both gbass. And in my case not nearly as pretty.
Anyone else have any interesting tidbits about lures and their origins, oddities, history, etc? Edited by RayburnGuy, 11 September 2011 - 10:45 AM. #6Posted 11 September 2011 - 05:30 PM
Zaragossa ... as I understand it was the redlight District in P cola. and because of the walk the dog action (tail wagging)
thus the name ..... Thats the story I heard. JSC #7Posted 11 September 2011 - 11:17 PM
I must be suffering from old timers I plum forgot all about that until I read the Zaragossa name. Now where did I leave that darn car?
