I tried spraying Dick Nites topcoat clear I was using 5-8psi and when I spray it came out like cotton candy. I laid down ok and I am letting dry. Is it suppose to come out like that when you spray?

Try thinning it with acetone. Believe that's what Dick says he uses to thin it for spraying. I don't remember the exact ratio, but it's somewhere in the archives. Try doing a search on thinning DN. And it probably wouldn't hurt to turn your air pressure up.
