Rookie Question:

Where can i get somepiano wire ASAP? Can i buy it at any instrument store or am i completely in left field?

Don't know about ASAP, but I'd order it online from mcmaster.com, which lists theirs as "music wire". They carry a wide array of wires, have good prices, and ship pretty fast.

You can get it at Bass Pro, Dicks, Gander Mountain, or at most bait and tackle stores.
And if all else fails Walmart.( I don't shop there for fishing gear. )

you might try the local auto parts store just ask for ss tie wire comes in one lb spools
