It appears that my favorite thread I used to make bass bugs with years ago is no longer made. I don't suppose anybody knows of somewhere that still stocks Gudebrod GX2 thread do they? If not, whats the closest comparable thing in strength and flatness/size?

Cheers

I hate it when a material is discontinued<argh!>

But a google search showed:
GUDEBROD GX2 THREAD

$5.60

GUDEBROD GX2 THREAD (130 Denier)

Currently out of production. The Lagartun Gel Spun 130 Deiner thread is the exact same material. Use this link: Lagartun Gel Spun 130 Deiner

The same material as Dynacord (gel spun polyethylene). An excellent thread for deer hair tying as well as large saltwater or freshwater patterns, where strength is required. Breaking Strength is 10 lbs 8 oz. 50 yard spool - White

So Gudebrod is gone but several other names appear. Often on a google page 10 or 12, etc. I've found a supplier that may work, sometimes in other countries. eBay works sometimes also. Good luck!
