Hello All,
just wanted to know if anybody has feedback on mud hole rod building classes. Im new to the rod building scene and was just wondering if its a waste of time, am I better off going at it on my own or is it worth while. Im looking for honest opinions not looking to discredit mud hole in any way!

thanks
CC

I have been in the class, & I had a good time, but I learned more by watching dvd's and youtube vid's. If you know how to glue a reel seat & wrap string on a stick, then I wouln't waste my time. They didn't show me anything new.

I taught myself off of the free stuff they have on the net and by going to rodguild.com, I did buy two books, one by Billy vavona and the other by dale clemens. Most of the stuff is very easy to learn yourself. You can even use box's and books to help you wrap threads but having a rod wrapper is the bomb
