About two weeks ago, I tried getting .035 from three different suppliers. All of them were out of it. I think it may have something to do with the Alabama Rig craze. It seems that just about everyone is attempting to make it. I am sure the supply will catch up with demand soon.

John I have 1 coil of .035 left and was told by a friend that the alabama rig is now being made by so many diy and normal lure companies that it may disappear for a few months until suppliers will get caught up. The same thing happened to fly tyers when women began using hackle for hair extensions. Barlows has about the best quality prebent wire forms if you need to make spinnerbaits and I have them for times I run short, they use the same quality of wire, the only difference is they have it bent already so it costs me more but really come in handy when I run out of wire. #5Posted 26 January 2012 - 08:41 PM
